Privacy policy

When you submit the Arrival Check, we process the data you provide in order to assess your enquiry and contact you. This includes in particular contact details, selected topics, deadline information and details about your arrival and residence situation.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling enquiries).

Your intermediate answers in the form are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage until you submit or reset the check. This local storage does not take place on our servers.

The Arrival Check does not collect diagnoses, medication, treatment history or genetic information. If health details are required for a specific insurance application, this happens separately and only on an explicit basis.

Acknowledging the privacy information is a prerequisite for processing your enquiry. You may separately give a voluntary consent to marketing communication; the legal basis is then Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You can withdraw a given consent at any time with effect for the future. For every consent we record the version of the consent text and the point in time.

Documents you provide are stored in non-public storage. Access is possible only for authorised staff. Anonymous visitors cannot retrieve any records or documents.

To handle your enquiry, data may be transmitted to insurers and product providers where this is necessary for the mediation.

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and a right to object (Art. 21 GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.

We only record privacy-friendly, aggregated events about the flow of the Arrival Check, for example that a step was completed. No field values and no personal data are transmitted.

Personal data is not used in URLs, in analytics events or in email subject lines.
